Little Kid Andy

The one thing that every little kid has is imagination.  They create whole worlds from rocks, dirt, trees and grass.  Whether its making mud pies or building racing tracks, kids’ imaginations are unlimited. They are remarkable visionaries of wonderful creativity.

So, close your eyes.  Think back when you were four. You didn’t know what rules were. Coloring inside the lines means nothing to you.  Drawing everything in sight was your motivation. You thought you were Picasso even-though you didn’t know who Picasso was.   That little kid believes he or she can create and live in their own world.  Andy is that little kid inside all of us with the remarkable imagination.

Today Andy is ready to start this creative journey. With a blank sheet and a pencil in hand, the exploration of Andy’s Creative Practice begins.

Andy’s Imagination

One of the most exciting things for a designer to see is a blank sheet of paper.  It’s at that very moment the world of imagination becomes this unlimited resource of creativity.  That blank sheet is an opportunity to create something to express personality, culture and emotion. A simple sheet can be turned into a beautiful butterfly. This blog is that blank sheet of paper.

Designing Andy is the living story of the creation of a design practice.  What is the story? Where is the journey going? What is the business about? Who is Andy? These are all questions that don’t have answers today.  But here is the one thing you should know; this living story will not be what you think.

So, follow this journey.  See where it goes. Discover the story.  Today it’s a blank sheet.  Tomorrow it lives.
